An Evening at the Tidal Basin

Zach and I walked around the Tidal Basin. It wasn't too crowded although it's summer and Washington D.C. is in its tourist season. It was amazing to see the Franklin D. Roosevelt memorial, which I've only walked through a handful of times. The George Mason memorial was something new I hadn't toured before, and I learned that he had helped inspire the United States Bill of Rights. I stood next to the Eleanor Roosevelt statue at one point, and after the sky began to darken, Zach and I looked across the tidal basin at the glowing Jefferson Memorial and Washington Monument.
