Zach and I rented a double kayak from Thompson Boat Center on a sunny late Sunday afternoon. We paddled around Teddy Roosevelt Island, with views of the Arlington Memorial Bridge on one side and the Key Bridge on the other. Foggy Bottom and Georgetown were in the distance, with flower baskets hanging from trees and boats stationed at the harbor.
Other folks in the water enjoyed paddleboarding with their dogs, windsailing, and cruising the waters in motorboats. When we paddled by the Tidal Basin, we saw bikers cycling on the paths and sightseers taking photos in the distance.
